Abstract

¿¬±¸¸ñÀû : º» ¿¬±¸´Â º¸´Ù ü°èÀûÀÌ°í È¿°úÀûÀ¸·Î ½º¸¶Æ®Æù ¾îÇø®ÄÉÀ̼ÇÀ» È°¿ëÇÏ¿© ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À°À» Çϱâ À§ÇØ ÇÊ¿äÇÑ ±âÃÊÀڷḦ Á¦°øÇÏ°íÀÚ Ä¡°ú¿¡ ³»¿øÇϴ ȯÀÚµéÀ» ´ë»óÀ¸·Î ½º¸¶Æ®Æù ¾îÇø®ÄÉÀ̼ÇÀÇ ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À° ÀÎ½Ä ¹× ¿ä±¸µµ¸¦ Á¶»çÇÏ¿´´Ù.

¿¬±¸°á°ú : 1. ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À°À» ¹Þ¾Æº» °æÇèÀº ¿¬·É¿¡ ÀÖ¾î 20´ë°¡ 45.3%·Î °¡Àå ³ô¾Ò°í, ¼ºº°·Î´Â ¿©ÀÚ°¡ 47.0%·Î ³²ÀÚº¸´Ù ´õ ³ô¾Ò´Ù. 2. °¡Àå ¸¹ÀÌ ¹ÞÀº ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À°Àº ¡®Ä©¼ÖÁú ±³À°(31.0%)¡¯À̾ú°í, ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À° ½Ã »ç¿ëÇÑ ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À°¸Åü·Î´Â ¡®Ä¡¾Æ¸ðÇü(26.1%)¡¯À¸·Î ³ªÅ¸³µ´Ù. 3. ¡®±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À°ÀÇ Çʿ伺¡¯ÀÇ ÀνÄÀº 2.68Á¡(3Á¡ ±âÁØ)À¸·Î ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À°°æÇèÀÌ ÀÖ´Â ¿¬±¸´ë»óÀÚÀϼö·Ï ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À°ÀÌ ÇÊ¿äÇÏ´Ù°í Æò°¡ÇÏ¿´´Ù. 4. ½º¸¶Æ®Æù ¾îÇø®ÄÉÀÌ¼Ç »ç¿ë ½Ã Èï¹Ì¸¦ ´À³¢°Ô ÇÏ´Â ¿äÀÎÀº ¡®³»¿ë(52.2%)¡¯°ú ¡®Àç¹Ì(47.8%)¡¯°¡ ÁÖµÈ ¿äÀÎÀ¸·Î ³ªÅ¸³µ´Ù. 5. ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À° ¾îÇø®ÄÉÀÌ¼Ç »ç¿ëÀÇÇâÀº 2.35Á¡(3Á¡ ±âÁØ)À¸·Î ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À°°æÇèÀÌ ÀÖ´Â ¿¬±¸´ë»óÀÚÀϼö·Ï ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À° ¾îÇø®ÄÉÀ̼ÇÀ» »ç¿ëÇÒ ÀÇÇâÀÌ ÀÖ´Ù°í ÀÀ´äÇÏ¿´´Ù. 6. ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À° ¾îÇø®ÄÉÀ̼ÇÀ» ÅëÇØ ¹Þ°í ½ÍÀº ±³À°Àº ÃæÄ¡¿¹¹æ¹ý(53.4%), Ä©¼ÖÁú ¹æ¹ý(40.3%), ÀÕ¸öÁúȯ ¿¹¹æ¹ý(39.6%)¼øÀ¸·Î ³ªÅ¸³µ°í, ¿¬±¸´ë»óÀÚµéÀÌ ¼±È£ÇÏ´Â ÇнÀÇüÅ´ ±Û&±×¸²Çü(39.2%), °ÔÀÓÇü(33.2%)À» ÁÖ·Î ¼±È£ ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ¸·Î ³ªÅ¸³µ´Ù. 7. ½º¸¶Æ®ÆùÀ» ÀÌ¿ëÇÑ ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À°ÀÇ ÀåÁ¡À¸·Î ¡®Ä¡¾Æ¸¦ û°áÈ÷ °ü¸® ÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖÀ» °Í°°´Ù¡¯(48.5%)¶ó´Â ÀÇ°ßÀÌ °¡Àå ³ô°Ô ³ªÅ¸³µ´Ù.

°á·Ð : ½º¸¶Æ®Æù ¾îÇø®ÄÉÀ̼ÇÀ» ÅëÇÑ ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À°ÀÇ È¿°ú°¡ ±¸°­º¸°ÇÇൿÀ¸·Î À̾îÁú °ÍÀ¸·Î ±â´ëµÇ¸ç, ½º¸¶Æ®Æù ¾îÇø®ÄÉÀ̼ÇÀº ±¸°­º¸°Ç±³À°ÀÇ Áß¿äÇÑ ¸Åü·Î È°¿ëµÉ °ÍÀ¸·Î »ç·áµÈ´Ù.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness of dental patients on oral health education by smartphone applications and their needs for that in an effort to provide some information on how to provide oral health education by making effective use of smartphone applications.

Method: A survey was conducted on the smartphone users who were in their 10s through 40s. They were selected by random sampling from the smartphone users who visited dental hospitals and clinics in Gyeoggi Province and Incheon. The answer sheets from 268 respondents were analyzed, and a statistical package SPSS 19.0 was utilized to make a statistical analysis.

Results : 1. As for oral health education experience by age, the respondents who were in their 20s had the most experience of receiving that education (45.3%). By gender, the women(47.0%) received more oral health education than the men.
2. The oral health education that they received the most was about toothbrushing(31.0%), and the most commonly used teaching medium was a teeth model(26.1%).
3. Concerning awareness of the necessity of oral health education, they gave a mean of 2.68 out of three. The respondents who received more oral health education considered that to be more necessary.
4. The major factors that made them feel interest when they used smartphone applications were content(52.2%) and fun(47.8%).
5. Regarding intention of using applications for oral health education, they gave a mean of 2.53 out of three. The respondents who received more oral health education replied they had a more intention to use these applications.
6. The education that they wanted to receive the most by using applications for oral health education was how to prevent dental caries(53.4%), followed by toothbrushing method(40.3%) and how to prevent gingival diseases(39.6%). Their favorite means of learning were a combination of writing and pictures(39.2%) and games(33.2%).
7. As to the advantage of oral health education by smartphone, the largest group(48.5%) replied it would help them to keep their teeth clean.

Conclusion: Oral health education by smartphone applications is expected to be effective enough to stimulate learners to take good care of their teeth, and smartphone applications seem to be utilized as one of primary teaching media for oral health education.
